What we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and the profile information you choose to provide (display name, bio, website URL, niche tags). If you sign in via a third-party provider (Google, GitHub) we receive only the name and email that provider shares.

We log standard server-side events such as the pages you visit and actions you take (posting an opportunity, submitting an application) so we can keep the board running and fix bugs.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to operate Indie Guest Posts: matching writers with site owners, sending notification emails you opt into, and preventing abuse. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, ever.

Storage and third parties

Data is stored in Convex (convex.dev) and authentication is handled by Clerk (clerk.com). Both are SOC 2 compliant. We do not use advertising networks or third-party analytics beyond what is needed to keep the service alive.

Cookies

We use session cookies set by our authentication provider to keep you signed in. No tracking cookies, no ad pixels.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. On deletion we remove your profile and personal data within 30 days. To request a data export or ask any privacy question, email us at privacy@guestpost.dev.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will post a notice on the site before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated policy.
